That is my dream too. But I don’t know where to begin or whether I will be able to live up to the demands of learning Sanskrit at this late life stage. Last studied in class 8th way back in early 1980. It is like different yug back then .
You can find a lot of free content on YouTube, Instagram and elsewhere, but I found courses with Somaiya Institute of Dharma Studies. Their online courses are relaxed and flexible, with weekend classes on Zoom.
yk there’s something really lovely about learning a language not just to speak it, but to slowly discover all the little corners of yourself it gives you words for 🤌
Thank you, Priyanshu. My tracking was all over the place in life, but it found structure here on Substack. I owe that to the kindest and coolest people I interact with here, including you 🙌🏾
Rabia, I truly enjoyed listening to your Sanskrit journey compiled into a single post. What a beautiful journey. Initially, I started noting down the numbers of the sentences I really liked, and then I realised it would end up being a very long list, so I stopped. This is really beautiful. I’m wondering if you would like to write a poem next.
Thanks you Prommila! Exactly, I wanted more people to access these sentences easily 😊
I wrote one poem this year, and I will def think of writing more. This audience is also quite forgiving so I am not overthinking it but waiting for something to flow from my heart.
Day 37: Isn't अवकाशः a more suitable word than विरामः?
Yes, it is perfect Kamala अवकाशः (vacation/leave/opportunity). Thank you!
Welcome.
Learning Sanskrit -vow.

This is an excellent execution. One can just come here and learn sanskrit through your records. Keep it up my dear friend 🙌🪷
